The Hand Caned Chest
The Hand Caned Chest was such a popular edition and sold out so quickly that after many requests by collectors who had wanted it, Ferd agreed to release it again. This time he has taken it up a notch with a beautiful Carpathian burl inlay on the tabletop. It features his renowned radial hand caning, and is shown here in the dining room as storage for table service items. One of the reasons it previously sold out so quickly last time was that many collectors had purchased a pair of the chests to use as night stands or as small buffets in the dining room, as the doors open in either a right or left direction.
A particularly lovely combination is The Canopy Bed flanked by two hand hand caned chests, as the headboard oval inlay repeats the color and shape of the radial caning on the chests. The bed and chests are also both adorned with Greek Key edging motif.
