Invites you to step into the Formal Dining Room

Nest of Tables

Many of us love a formal dining room, yet not all of us are blessed to have one in our full sized daily lives.  But in 1/12th scale it is so possible. Take a look around, welcome to our versions of the timeless formal dining room. They exude warmth and bespeak the classic grace of civilized dining when family and friends gather to converse and share a meal.  Seen above is Ferd’s special 35th Anniversary Edition of his famous Nest of Tables. Below are his popular Breakfront on left, and on right his new Federal Credenza.

The  Breakfront

The Federal Credenza

Ferd’s recent edition is The Federal Credenza. It is a perfect piece to be used as a sideboard or as a buffet.  It features a gorgeous oval inlay of dark and light woods and hand carved floral motifs with Greek Key design on the edges. Six drawers afford storage for items from candles to silverware.

The Breakfront is a truly striking edition and in every way it lives up to the reputation of The Workshop Wizard. It will display a treasured library or comfortably hold silver, china and dining accessories.  Among the many extras Ferd has bestowed upon this piece are the radial hand caned panels in the lower doors, and a delicate scrolled bonnet. It is crowned with three finials including his rare renowned open flame finial in the center. A sweet sliding tambour door safeguards letters, and when it is opened reveals compartments for the tools of the writing trade.

So if you simply love a formal dining room, consider some of the loveliest miniature furnishing available.  Delight your eyes by checking out the blog for even more miniature wonders from The Workshop Wizard.
