The Federal Dresser
Ferd’s latest edition The Federal Dresser is a lovely piece of furniture. It features six drawers for storage and has hand carvings and Greek key edge motifs. A dark and light wood oval inlay adorns the dresser top and the mirror is appointed with scrolling hand carved vines and crowned by a central delicate finial. This edition is a perfect compliment to his earlier bedroom pieces including The Vanity Wardrobe and his petite Poster Bed as shown above in the mirror.
The curvature on the shield back of the Hepplewhite Settee is echoed in the serpentined central decorative motif of The Federal Dresser. Also shown are his Hand Caned Chair and Piecrust Table.
